• The Trafford grammar schools’ entrance test (FSCE)From 2028 entry the five Trafford grammar schools set one test, written by FSCE and based on the Key Stage 2 English and maths curriculum to the end of Year 5. From 2029 entry it moves to the summer term of Year 5.
• The King’s School, Chester: the Year 7 entrance exam (Quest)King’s Chester admits to Year 7 by an exam each January of Year 6: an online assessment from Quest Assessments, and a 30-minute written English paper.
