Particular to this test
Science
The Key Stage 2 science programme of study for Years 3 to 6, asked as reasoning over what the question gives: fair tests, tables and graphs, circuits, keys and food chains, and 104 short scenarios to read and answer from, mixed into the sessions. The school says its science paper, for children applying for Years 6 and 7, “is not a deciding factor” in its admissions. The plan still practises it, and weighs it as it does the other parts. Year 6 science is in the plan too: all 15 of its objectives have notes, and one so far has questions; the rest are named as not covered yet.
