The method, in full, so that you can judge it. Nothing here is a claim about results.
What it teaches
The Key Stage 2 national curriculum for maths, Years 3 to 6, broken into objectives. They are taught in the order your child’s school teaches them: White Rose by default, with Power Maths and Maths — No Problem! as alternatives. By default Remelia works up to a term ahead of school, never further, unless you change it.
Meeting a new topic
- Study. A short note and one worked example.
- Complete. A question with the start of its working already written in.
- Do. A question on their own.
Reviews, and what “secure” means
Each topic has a gap before it is reviewed. A review answered correctly makes the next gap about two and a half times longer; a wrong one makes it shorter. The gaps run 1, 3, 8, 20, then 50 days and longer.
A topic counts as secure once it has been answered correctly after a gap of about 20 days: remembered, not just done. Coverage towards an exam is always counted in secure topics.
Checking where things stand
A starting check places your child on the first day. Every 6 weeks a short re-check asks again about topics marked secure, so that the record stays honest.
Estimating the exam
The parents’ view projects how many of the exam’s topics are likely to be secure by the exam date. It uses the last four weeks’ rate and shows it as a range, for example “between 84 and 97 by June 2028”, with the assumption written next to it. It is an estimate, labelled as one, and it is never a prediction of a result.
The last fortnight
In the 14 days before an exam, sessions get shorter and nothing new is introduced.
What it does not do
- No adverts, and no marketing trackers.
- No leaderboards or comparisons with other children.
- No percentages shown to your child.
- No English, verbal reasoning or non-verbal reasoning.
